Dave Dickler has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the South Florida Association of Manufacturers (SFMA).

The SFMA is an affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers, and has among its members virtually every major Manufacturer in the area.

Dickler is the Chief Financial Officer of Lighting Components and Design, a recognized leader in Manufacturing Technology providing a wide range of standard and custom Lampholders, Indicator Lights, LED Modular Arrays and Circuit Board Indicators.

"I am honored to be appointed to join you as a fellow member of the Board of Directors of the South Florida Manufacturers Association.

"Although many of us have worked closely together in the past, I am a complete stranger to a few, so please indulge me while I introduce my self and my company, Lighting Components and Design, Inc.

"About myself, Dave Dickler:

"Since joining the SFMA I have been active on its Member Benefits Committee and in a "School-to-Career" program with the SFMA and the Broward County Public School system.

"I have an extensive background in finance, business operations, new product development, marketing, planning, accounting, communications and human resources with both Fortune 500 companies and small to midsize manufacturing and service businesses.

"Over my 30+ year career, I have held titles including Division President, CFO, Controller and Business Area Manager. Corporate affiliations include: Lighting Components and Design (6 years), IBM (20+ years), etc.

"About my company, Lighting Components and Design, Inc. (LC&D):

"LC&D designs, manufactures and markets products under the Leecraft and Littelites trade names. We provide a wide range of Standard and Custom Designed Lampholders, Indicator Lights, LED Modular Arrays, Circuit Board Indicators, Wiring Harnesses and Assemblies.

"Our company markets its products to OEMs and Distributors in a wide range of industries: Automotive, Electronics, Appliance, Emergency Lighting, Signs, Displays, Gaming, etc.

"We have actively participated in SFMA events, seminars, plant tours, etc. and we were honored to be nominated as SFMA Manufacturer of the Year in January of this year.

"Our company reported year- to- date sales growth that exceeded even 1999’s record, while Backlogs and Incoming Orders at record high levels.

"LC&D experienced 41% year-to-year sales growth for 1999 vs. 1998, with our Backlogs and Incoming Orders at record high levels.

With 8 months already under our belt, combined growth in sales is projected to exceed 75% for 2000 vs. 1998.

"100-125%+ Growth is conservatively projected for next year vs. 1998 based on year to date results, backlogs and proposals in process, with significant "upside" risk.

"The firm entered a Financial Alliance with Bank of America to support our explosive growth, our growing capital investment program and future business acquisitions.
