Dave Dickler,
Chief Financial Officer Lighting Components and Design, Inc. (LC&D)
announced today that the company recently made a number of improvements
to its web site, updating the design and adding many new user-friendly
features.
One of
the new features, of particular interest to its customers and Distributors
is a customer searchable “Worldwide Distributor Inventory Locator"
system to identify the immediate source of Leecraft and Littelites products.
Dickler
went on to say "An inventory locator system enables visitors to
our web site to do searches by part number and locate distributors having
specific items in inventory."
"After
locating the inventory of a distributor, potential customers can either
telephone the distributor directly using the phone numbers and contacts
provided, or use the system’s automatic e-mail to send requests
for quotes and purchase orders directly to the distributor.
"This
is done simply and easily, at no cost to the customer, nor to the Distributors.
The service itself was developed, is owned and is administered by netCOMPONENTS,
Inc. The information may be accessed at no charge to the end user from
LC&D's "Search" page on its web site at www.LightingComponents.com.
"Response
has been overwhelmingly favorable, from both Customers and Distributors
who now have, 'at their fingertips' complete access to the complete
inventories of LC&D's Leecraft and Littelites parts - whether those
inventories are at our distributors, or are available from LC&D's
factory stock.
"User
support + ease of use + added value functions are the secret of our
success, both on the web, and in our "bricks and mortar" business.
Yesterday's ways of doing business are obsolete… and today's are
changing faster than the eye can see."
