Today Jon
Cooper, President of Lighting Components and Design, Inc. (LC&D)
announced record sales for the second quarter of 2002. Three-month sales
through June 30th were up dramatically, 41% of the prior quarter and
35% over last year's "going rate."
"We
continue to reap the rewards of a six-year investment of time, energy
and money in our Leecraft and Littelites lines and in our basic manufacturing,
custom product design and support operations."
“Our
multi-million dollar investments in automation, state-of-the-art systems
for manufacturing, design, materials management, customer support and
information processing gives LC&D a competitive edge in our market
niche."
“Customers
are excited by our response time of a few days or weeks, instead of
several months – much faster than our competitors. Independent
customer surveys and independent reviews of “competitive wins”
have identified Lighting Components and Design's greatest competitive
advantages to be:
- "Shortest
custom product development cycle in the industry.
- "Fastest
prototype delivery of custom designed products.
- "Broadest
line of 'off the shelf' products available from any manufacturer in
the world.
- "Consistent
ability to rapidly ramp-up to even the most demanding production schedules.
- "Producing
products with unique materials characteristics and packaging to suit
even the most demanding and environmental conditions of vibration,
motion, heat, cold, moisture, industrial chemicals, pollution, etc.
- "On-time
delivery."Quality and reliability at 'world class' levels.
"This
leap in sales is entirely due to the host of new products introduced
in the past several months and is the fruition of our long term multi-million
dollar investment in manufacturing technology.
"This investment strategy has enabled us to bring our customers
new high technology products, shorten delivery schedules for existing
products and move into new product and market areas.
