Story
Lighting
Components & Design, Inc. (LCD) announced a record increase in revenue
for the six-month period ending June 30, 2004. Revenues rose 71% in
the 2004 first six-months, compared to the same period last year.
"We are very
pleased with our results for the first half, which exceeded even our
most recent projections for the period," said Jon Cooper, President.
"Some of this performance was due to improved conditions in the
markets we serve. However, this was not the sole reason our strong first-half
results; our performance clearly reflects a continuing improvement in
the Company's fundamental operational strengths.
"We are off to a very good start for 2004, and we are progressing
nicely with the execution of our key initiatives to improve productivity,
reduce costs and grow our businesses globally," continued Cooper.
"We are confident that our strategy and disciplined management
style will continue to deliver solid results over the balance of the
year.”
