Lighting Components
and Design, Inc., manufacturer of the Leecraft and Littelites Lines
of Miniature Lights and Assemblies has increased their wire processing
abilities with the addition of a Komax Alpha 433 L from Komax USA, headquartered
in Buffalo Grove, IL. By expanding it’s wire-processing capabilities,
LCD has increased their capacity to a higher processing speed.
The Alpha 433 L
is unsurpassed in flexibility. It is capable of seal loading on one
or both wire ends; various terminals and double crimp connections of
different lengths and the same wires can be processed without difficulty.
LC&D has added a PawoPress A18, a Komax 106 and the Komax mci 771.
The PAWOPRESS A18 is a compact press with an integrated seal applicator
and a crimp force monitoring system. The Komax 106 is an active feeding
system for processing many different types of wires. A clever control
algorithm allows the wire-processing machine to run at high capacity
while the wire bundle is de-reeled at a reduced acceleration and speed
level. This feature prevents wire knotting in the bundle and guarantees
smooth feeding. The mci 711crimping module is an optimally integration
of the overall Alpha 433 system. Teamed up with these devices, the Alpha
433 L is a very compact system offering optimum accessibility and ultra
short conversion times.
Ty Ramsey, VP of
Performance Excellence says, “The greater flexibility of the Alpha
433 L really comes to the fore when processing sequences and double
crimp connections. The additional press increases the number of wire
variations that can be produced in sequential processing without conversion.
“
Jorge Ramirez, the
Wire Processing Supervisor likes “the Komax Alpha 433-L is a state-of-the-art
automatic wire processing machine and the enhanced flexibility is especially
striking in the processing of sequences and V-connections.”
“To create
the best product possible, we selected the most technologically advanced
wire processing capabilities and process and control systems; the Komax
Alpha 433-L. This type of machinery and equipment allows LC&D to
be most efficient and cost competitive” states Jon Cooper, President.
